Invisible Matting
Mats form close to the skin where you can't see them. By the time they're visible, they're already painful to remove.
The complete grooming system for Poodles, Doodles, and curly-coated breeds. Professional-grade tools, coat-specific products, video tutorials, and the 5-Step Method - all matched to your curl pattern.

Curly and wavy coats hide problems underneath all that fluff. By the time you see a mat, it's been building for days. These are the struggles every curly coat owner knows.

Heavy conditioners weigh down curls. Harsh shampoos strip the natural oils that keep curls defined and healthy.
Slickers that are too short can't reach through dense curls. The wrong brush rips and breaks the coat instead of detangling.
These are the same tools and products professional groomers use on curly and wavy coats - not pet store guesswork.

Suction cup anchor and safety lead. Attaches to any smooth surface, keeps your dog comfortably and safely in place during every step.

Calming compression wrap for anxious or reactive dogs. Gentle pressure helps them settle during grooming sessions.

Reaches through dense curls without pulling. The foundation of every curly coat session.

Fine-tooth precision for face, feet, and checking for hidden mats after brushing.

Mist before every brush session and pre-dry. Adds moisture, slip, and protection. Never brush a curly coat dry.

Formulated for textured coats. Cleans without stripping the oils that define curls.

Fine nubs for gentle washing lather and skin stimulation. Works shampoo through the curly coat during the wash.

Lightweight hydration that softens without weighing down. Detangles on contact.

Gentle cleaning wipes for ear care. Curly coats trap moisture in ears - regular cleaning prevents infection.
Curly coats hide everything. Here is exactly how each step works for your coat type.
Hands-on health check. Skin, ears, teeth, nails, coat condition. Part the curls and feel for mats close to the skin - curly coats can look perfectly fine on the surface while hiding tangles underneath.
Full line brush to remove tangles and mats before the wash. Mist first - never dry brush. This is the most important step for curly coats. If matting goes into the wash unaddressed, water and product lock it in tighter.
Cleanse and condition throughout. Curly coats are naturally water-resistant, so take extra time to fully saturate. Conditioner is not optional for this coat type - it provides the slip and hydration that keeps curls defined and manageable.
Brush through while drying to prevent curls from locking into tangles. Timing matters - if the coat dries without being brushed through, tangles set in and you are back to square one. Dry thoroughly to the skin.
Final comb-through to verify everything is clean, dry, and tangle-free. If the comb glides from skin to tip, the session achieved its purpose. If it catches, there is more work to do.
Curly and wavy coats grow continuously - they don't shed in the traditional sense. That means dead hair gets trapped inside the living coat, creating mats if it isn't removed regularly. The curl pattern also means moisture, dirt, and debris hide close to the skin where you can't see them.
Curly coats repel water naturally. Great for rainy walks - but it means wash time requires extra patience to fully saturate.
Mats form against the skin, hidden by the outer curl pattern. The Touch Test catches them before they become painful.
Unlike shedding breeds, curly coats grow indefinitely. Professional grooming every 6-8 weeks is still recommended alongside home care.
