The Detail Comb is the one tool nearly every grooming routine comes back to. This stainless steel comb has dual tooth spacing — coarser teeth on one end for working through the coat, finer teeth on the other for detail work and finishing. It earns its keep across two steps of the Protocol: in Prep, comb through after brushing to confirm the coat is truly tangle-free before a wash; in Finish, use the fine end to tidy feathering and furnishings at the end of a groom. The long, smooth teeth glide from skin to tip, so a clean pass means the coat is clear and a jam means there’s more work to do.
