The Long Coat Carding Rake clears the dense undercoat that long double coats carry. It does its work in Prep or between baths — raking through the body coat on a dry coat to lift and remove dead undercoat before it packs down and mats. Used correctly and not too often, it keeps a feathered long double coat light, healthy, and easy to manage. Available in two sizes.

Body coat only. Never card the feathering, and never card a wet coat.
- Always card a dry coat — never wet.
- Work the body coat only, in the direction of hair growth, in short, controlled strokes.
- Stay off the feathering — the rake is for the body coat, not the feathers.
- Card in Prep or between baths on a dry coat, no more than once every two weeks, then check your work with the Undercoat Depth Comb.
