The firm curry brings more bite for coats that need it, working as both a dry brush and a wash brush. On short double and wire coats it does double duty: in Prep, circular strokes over a dry coat lift loose undercoat before a wash; in Wash, the stiffer rubber teeth drive shampoo deep into thick coats for a proper clean. On medium plush double coats it’s used in the wash and on the shorter coat at the front of the legs. On feathered long double coats it’s used in the wash, and you can dry-brush the shorter hair at the front of the legs. Between full protocol days, a quick dry-brush on short double and wire coats keeps loose undercoat moving and the skin stimulated.
